Day 01

Departure from Gangtok & Transfer to Lachen

Your adventure to North Sikkim begins today! After breakfast at your Gangtok hotel, our professional driver will pick you up at around 10:00 AM. You will start the scenic 6-hour drive (approx. 115 km) towards the high-altitude village of Lachen (9,000 ft).

En route, you will pass through stunning Himalayan landscapes, making brief stops at the beautiful Seven Sister Waterfalls, Naga Waterfalls, and the Chungthang confluence. Upon reaching Lachen by late afternoon, check into your pre-booked hotel. The evening is free for acclimatization. Dinner will be served at your hotel.

Day 02

Gurudongmar Lake Excursion & Transfer to Lachung

Your day begins very early at 4:00 AM. Your driver will pick you up and take you through the cold desert of Thangu Valley to reach Gurudongmar Lake at 17,800 feet. This sacred lake is one of the highest in the world and remains partially unfrozen even during harsh winters.

After spending a short time at the lake, return to Lachen for lunch. Following lunch, check out and proceed for a 2.5-hour drive (approx. 50 km) to Lachung (8,600 ft). Upon arrival in the evening, check into your Lachung hotel for a warm dinner and a much-needed rest.

Yumthang Valley Excursion & Return to Gangtok
